Between September of 2020 and April of 2021, ESVOC members worked collaboratively with community RN, Sam Bernstein, and members of ConVal's Health and Wellness administration to research and develop a comprehensive consent curriculum for implementation at the school. Eventually, our goal is to augment the current NH graduation requirements for health education to include consent and sexual health. In the meantime, we will continue to share and promote our work with the public. Scroll through the first slide to learn about the process, and then see the curriculum in its full completion below.

Day 1

Unit One: Adult learning theory, gender identity, gender expression, sexuality, the history of abstinence education and sex negativity, sex positivity and comprehensive consent education.

Day 2

Unit Two: Consent in intimate and non-intimate situations, asserting and respecting boundaries, healthy relationships, power dynamics and manipulation, applied language, and body language. 

Day 3

Unit Three: Non-consensual interactions, rape culture, NH laws regarding consent and sexual assault, bystander intervention, privilege, being a part of the change.
